The Author Speaks..
The reason why I write is for
necessary. I started when I was 18 as a way to heal myself of situations
I had to deal with my family, and understanding the world around
me. I love language. I love the way words float out of my mouth.
I love exploring characters and situations and let the characters
take the reader on a journey. I write mostly because I can and
have invested a lot of time and energy into this vehicle. It is
something of my own and something I have passion for. It's not
something that is easy. I have taken a lot of time, have to spend
countless hours writing and rewriting, and learning how to market
myself, but in the end it is all worth it. I love the written word
and have been in love with reading since I was three years old.
I have my mom to thank for that. And I have beautiful people in
my life that make sure I am inspired by life and who constantly
encourage me to keep on keeping. It is for you that i write these
words and keep telling stories of the African Dispora.
Peace and Blessings,
Mocha Sistah
